I grew up in Whitehorse, Yukon where I picked up my first guitar at the age of 12.  I
wanted a guitar so bad because I saw a pro wrestler called "the honkey tonk man"
smashing them over peoples heads, it was a fender stratocaster.  In highschool I spent
much of my time playing Green Day and Nirvana covers in various punk and alternative
rock bands.  The most successful of those groups was a group called
Astro Boy's
Revenge (click on this link for an mp3).  It lead me into the realm of rock and blues.

In grade twelve I was voted "most likely to become a rockstar" so I thought I'd throw
everyone a curve-ball and go for a degree in classical guitar.   I studied with Stephen
Boswell for two years at capilano college then I transferred to the University of British
Columbia where I studied with Michael Strutt.  I made the transition from rock to Bach
with flying colors and I earned myself a degree in performance.  Of course, there were
a whole lot of adventures alng the way, have a look at the
resume section to get an idea
of the various adventures and oppurtunities I've had in recent years.
