I have had dozens of students and yet I remain a student myself.  My
philosophy is to keep the mindset of a beginner regardless of
accomplishments.  As such, I’m constantly examining the technical aspects
of the guitar and learning how to apply them to playing at any level.  

I’ve found that the most essential and, indeed, challenging role of the
teacher is to get students practicing.  The rest is easy.  In my experience
students are far more inclined to practice playing music they actually like to
listen to.  My single greatest attribute as a teacher is the ability to simplify
any music so that it is approachable for any given student without sounding
too different from the original.
