-Sept. 2002- May 2003. First guitar, Capilano college guitar ensemble. This was a group of seven
guitarists; a sort of guitar orchestra. We performed in the school as well as in the community and had
weekly rehearsals. As first guitar, it was my job to lead rehearsals and keep everyone on task.
-April-May 2003. Toured Europe with the “Capilano Singers” and gave solo guitar performances in
Austria, Switzerland, Germany, Belgium and Italy. This tour gave me excellent opportunities to play in
different corners of the globe.
-Summer 2003. Played over forty engagements in Whitehorse, Yukon at the S.S. Klondike, Alpine Bakery
and MacBride Museum. A big part of these contracts involved conversing with the public (mostly
tourists) and telling them the history of the music as well as a bit about the Yukon itself.
-Spring 2004. Toured Ireland with “The University Singers of UBC” and gave five Solo Recitals along the
way including one in Dublin at St. Patrick’s Cathedral.
-Summer 2004. Performed at the annual CBC Radio True North Concert, the recordings of which are in
regular circulation throughout the country. This concert is a seriously difficult event to be a part of.
Hundreds audition every year, only a handful get picked. My task at this concert was to represent the
Yukon in a pan-northern event. See the attached note from Peter Skinner, the producer.
-Spring 2004. Performed for his holiness the Daly Llama, Desmond Tutu and Shirin Abadi on their visit to
UBC and the Chan Centre. This was a highly prestigious event, only a few individuals were asked to
perform.
-March 2005. Played at the Commodore ballroom for an audience of 1400 as part of the Vancouver Celtic
festival. This is the biggest St. Patrick’s Day event in the city.
-August 2005. Represented the Yukon at Canada Games in Regina as part of the National Artists
Program. I was one of four from the territory chosen to represent the territory at the Games.
-August 2005. Performed for a sold out crowd at Taylor Field at the Canada Games Closing Ceremonies
in Regina. I performed with a Pan-Northern group of musicians and dancers to promote the Whitehorse
games in 2007.
-March 17th 2006. Performed for a sold out crowd at the Commodore Ballroom for St. Patrick’s Day. I was
the only performer ever asked to return to this huge event for a second year.
-April 23rd 2006. Performed 2-hour graduate recital Program at the UBC Recital hall. This program was
the culmination of a year’s worth of practice and study. It featured music of South America, Spain and
Germany.
-June 20th and 21st 2006. Performed as a special return guest at the 25th anniversary of the True North
Concert in Yellowknife. This was an enormous event, the audience of which included the CBC Board of
Directors and The Governor General of Canada. CBC North sought to put on an impressive show for the
event and I’m very honored that they contacted me for the event. See attached note from the producer.
